About us

Our work involves not only assisting members of the public who call at our drop in centre, but also keeping up with current issues of importance to disabled and elderly people. We keep up to date with current regulations about benefits and grants. We are also concerned about access issues. It is important to keep campaigning to ensure that disabled people can gain access to all public buildings and facilities. We hold community fund raising events and are always searching for new sources of revenue to allow us to continue and expand our work.

We believe…

  • That all people should have access to free assistance in determining their welfare rights and benefits, and help in claiming them.
  • That all members of the community should have equal access to public premises and facilities.
  • In raising the general awareness of the public, about the ways in which age and disability can affect people’s lives. It is often surprisingly easy to alleviate problems just through education.
